Stephanie a long time hair extension client with dyed black hair wanted a very dark to very light ombre hair color without hair dye. Her own hair could never achieve the ombre because of its length and hair color. Stephanie's hair is jet black and jet black hair is nearly impossible to lighten without some damage. Instead, we created a cool ombre hair color without dye by using hair extensions.
Before Hair Extensions
Stephanie's hair is a shoulder length bob and her ends are very dark.
We selected five shades of hair extensions
1) Jet Black
2) Chocolate Brown
3) Warm Brown
4) Golden Blonde
5) Lightest Blonde
At any time she can dye her hair a darker color and just enjoy her long gorgeous hair!
The process took 4 hours and expertly cut in layers and curled her hair with a 2 inch barrel curling iron. The end result is a cool ombre hair color, no hair dye and her extensions will last up to 5 months. Hair Extensions are a great way to experiment with hair color and hair color techniques such as ombre hair color. Would you give it a try?
